Personal Growth Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated

… but as women, we sure can make it that way, can’t we?

Every aspect of our life is connected to a process… our careers, our families, the way we manage our homes, self development, etc.

It’s so easy to complicate a process. Heck, I have a friend who admits she could make scrubbing toilets a full-time job. What the freakin’ what?

I guess we all have “that thing,” right?

One process that I see women over-complicate time after time is that of personal growth.

We are always striving to do better and to be better… and that is a GOOD thing.

But, paying for professional training or deciding which coach to hire can be extremely detrimental to personal growth, particularly in the network marketing industry.

For years, I have worked with thousands of women. A consistent truth I have uncovered about my own personal journey and the journey of others is this…

There is ALWAYS a reason things aren’t working the way we want them to be working.

When momentum becomes stale or results are lagging, most women hop on the paid training and coaching bandwagon, banking on a miracle.

We sign up for courses promising the most effective social media strategies. We’ll pay a pretty penny for someone to help us better train our team.

Ah heck, we will even hire a coach to help us understand the last coach who tried to help us decipher the lessons from the coach before that.

We are somehow convinced that just because we shell out some greenback, this will be the magic bullet that places us on the bullseye of success.

Now sister, please don’t misunderstand me. I am 100% all about mindset and personal growth. But this is where it gets a little tricky.

It is so easy to get caught up in thinking we must go big or go home. We forget the simplicity of building a business.

We end up spending a ton of money and find ourselves caught in a spiral cycle difficult to get out of.

Before you know it, you have spent a lot of resources (both time and money) learning all the things and neglect to just do the darn do. This path will never help you accomplish what you desire.

Here is the raw and real deal of this whole mindset and personal growth game.

Most of the time, we know what skills we need to have AND we know what we need to be doing

We just simply need to DO it.

We are all in different seasons. This is especially true in this industry.

Determine which season YOU are in and create your plan of attack accordingly

If you have a strong desire to build your business around social media, then do that

Don’t make that determination… and then go all squirrel for the next six months figuring out your “why,” creating a vision board, understanding sales, etc. just because some guru in your Facebook feed is saying you needed to.

Zero in and become laser focused on what you need to be doing NOW.

Then give yourself the time and space to put the appropriate skills into action

Maybe it’s time for you to consider hiring a coach or dropping a little jingle on a particular training. Or maybe a FREE 60 minute YouTube training is the most appropriate step for you to take right now.

Whatever it is, explore your options for personal growth before you invest.

Be intentional about what you want to do and where you want to go. Break it down into smaller quarterly steps.

And then sister, hone in on THAT… and only THAT
